The Nest
Installation Design
Logroño, Spain, 2023

Located in front of the Concha del Espolón, a popular venue for cultural events, the design intervention aims to re-imagine the typical structure of a traditional kiosk as a model to celebrate 'everyday social interaction’.

The Nest re-interprets the tectonics of a traditional kiosk's ‘stage’ and ‘roof’ to create a dynamic social space, prioritizing everyday experiences over grand spectacles. Making it a cultural catalyst, a support structure to the Concha instead of a temporary alternative.

The modular nature of the design offers an in-built flexibility to program a variety of events as well as a dynamic space for ‘everyday social interaction’. The Modularity allows for the plywood panels and MS box sections to be easily repurposed into functional furniture units with minimal wastage.
